Hello, my name is Phillip Jones. I am the pastor of Harmony Baptist Church. Praise the Lord for the privilege to pastor this great church since
January 2007!
I was reared in a Christian home. My dad was a pastor, assistant pastor, music director, youth pastor, you name it and he did it! My mom was a
Sunday school teacher, church secretary, school teacher, etc.
As you can see, I was truly blessed with not only a goodly but also a godly heritage!
After battling with conviction for several weeks, I yielded to the Holy Spirit at the age of 13 and was born again on September 28, 1987! God
called me to preach on December 3, 1995. I served in my local church until I went to Boulder, CO to work with Neighborhood Bible Time.
I traveled as an evangelist with NBT through the summer of 1997. My travels took me to Colorado, Wisconsin, Oregon, California, Washington,
and Alaska. While in Oregon, at the Westgate Baptist Church in Tigard, OR, I met McKenzie Franceus.
Just a little over a year later, on October 9, 1998, I married her! God has blessed us with 3 fine sons. Praise the Lord for His blessings! All of
my family members have trusted the Lord as their Saviour.
The Lord allowed me to serve as an assistant pastor, music director, and youth pastor. I had the great honor of being a member of Riverdale
Second Baptist Church which became Heritage Baptist Church in Locust Grove, GA. My pastor, Terrell Hopkins (aka: Preacher Hopkins) has
been a tremendous help and encouragement to me. His boldness and drive for souls has inspired and challenged me.
Now I am a pastor with a congregation looking to me for that same kind of leadership and inspiration. It is my desire to lead this flock to a closer
fellowship with our Lord. I preach with a burden for my people to hear "Well Done!" on Judgment Day.
