2 Chronicles 16:9  For
the eyes of the LORD
run to and fro throughout
the whole earth, to shew
himself strong in the
behalf of them whose
heart is perfect toward
him. Herein thou hast
done foolishly: therefore
from henceforth thou
shalt have wars.

John 20:1-31
The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the
sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.  Then she runneth, and They
have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.
So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the
sepulchre.  And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not
in.  Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen
clothes lie,  And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but
wrapped together in a place by itself.  Then went in also that other disciple, which came first
to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.  For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he
must rise again from the dead.  Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.
But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and
looked into the sepulchre,  And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the
other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.  And they say unto her, Woman, why
weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not
where they have laid him.  And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw
Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest
thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if
thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.  Jesus
saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say,
Master.  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go
to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my
God, and your God.  Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the
Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.  Then the same day at evening, being
the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for
fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto
you.  And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the
disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.  Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you:
as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.  And when he had said this, he breathed on
them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:  Whose soever sins ye remit, they are
remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.  But Thomas, one of
the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.  The other disciples
therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in
his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my
hand into his side, I will not believe.  And after eight days again his disciples were within, and
Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,
Peace be unto you.  Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my
hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but
believing.  And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.  Jesus saith unto
him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not
seen, and yet have believed.  And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his
disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Romans 1:18-25
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and
unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because
that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed
it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world
are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his
eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because
that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was
darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And
changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to
corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of
their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the
creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.  Amen.

Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;
and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

  •        Price of Redemption

Hebrews 10:1-12
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very
image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered
year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then
would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers
once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.  But in those
sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.  For it is
not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering
thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings
and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.  Then said I, Lo, I come
(in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.  Above
when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for
sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by
the law;  Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away
the first, that he may establish the second.  By the which will we are
sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the
same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:  But this man, after he
had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of
God;

Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without
shedding of blood is no remission.

Romans 1:3-4
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed
of David according to the flesh;  And declared to be the Son of God with
power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the
dead:

John 20:16
Jesus saith unto her, Mary.

John 20:26-29
And after eight days again his disciples were within, and

the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.  Then saith he to Thomas, Reach

Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are
they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Matthew 10:30
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Psalms 103:14
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Hebrews 4:15-16
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of
our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

  •        Promised Return

Romans 4:25
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our
justification.

John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In
my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told
you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for
you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there
ye may be also.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which
are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if
we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep
in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say unto you by the word of
the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord
shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and
with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we
which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the
clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
